Method 1
Step1.
GOTO->Installation Expert->Product Details
Step 2
Click on Value of “Default Directory”, then click on “Change ” button which is at right top of the screen.
Step 3
Click to get a dropdown list,
Select the “Default Directory”, which you need to set as INSTALLDIR. And Click Ok.
Example
If the application installs under “C:\Program Files\Business Objects”, and the order says that application should install to “C:\Program Files\Business Objects\XI”. Follow the below steps.
Perform Step 1 and Step2
Click on New Folder
Give the New Folder Name “XI”.
Click on OK.
Then, the screen displayed will be
Click on OK.
The screen displayed below shows the Default Directory set as per the order.
Method 2
This method shows to change INSTALLDIR through tables.
Goto->Setup Editor-> Tables-> Select Directory table, goto the row “INSTALLDIR” as shown below
Rename the Directory column “INSTALLDIR” to “INSTALLDIR1”,
Create a New row,(by right click)
Enter the values to the new row
Directory: INSTALLDIR
Directory_Parent:INSTALLDIR1 (This INSTALLDIR1 is the renamed original INSTALLDIR)
DefaultDir: XI
The below screenshot shows the changes,
The application INSTALLDIR is set to C:\ProgramFiles\Business Objects\XI.
